No, I have never looked into the available research in this area. I would expect there to be key differences due to (1) the slower movement velocities caused by moving through a medium that has higher resistance to movement, and (2) much smaller eccentric loading upon landing for the same reason. These differences would alter the velocity-specific and eccentric-specific strength gains that are common after plyometrics, and potentially also modify the hypertrophic response.
