It probably depends on the exercises used as antagonists. We can use the number of reps performed as a proxy for whether central fatigue has occurred that affects the antagonist, after an agonist exercise. For upper body multi-joint exercises, there seems to be no negative effects, but I would expect lower body exercises like squats to involve greater aerobic demand and therefore cause a problem.
